First Week: Malted Milk Ball Pie

This is SUPER YUMMY! It is very, VERY easy! Usually malted candies are not my first choice, but holy moly they are so delicious mixed with all the creamy goodness!

This couldn't wait for the photo!

About Me and The Blog

My name is Mallory and I am from the sunny south. I’m a Capricorn and I like long walks on the beach…yep. I’m married to my best friend and love of my life Eric. The Lord knew what he was doing!

I work in the PR/marketing industry, but my passion is baking, particularly cake decorating. I also love to cook and try new things. I think this must all mean I have a love of eating!

I was inspired for this blog from a source that was probably the inspiration for many other cooking blogs - I watched "Julie and Julia". So, I'll be cooking my way through my cookbooks and blogging about it. In the spirit of trying not to be completely unoriginal, I'd like to bring a little something new to the table:

I don't want to spend a billion dollars every week on gaggles of groceries to try all my recipes. I also don't want to use ingredients one time and then have them go out of date before I use them again. So, I'm going to go through my cookbooks and find what recipes have ingredients in common with others, and try those recipes around the same time.

So there you have it! I'll be cooking my way through my cookbooks, going in order of what recipes have ingredients in common, as closely as I can. I'll post every week what the meals for the upcoming week will be and my shopping list, and then I'll comment throughout the week on the recipes. I'll share with you what I'm bringing to the table!
